Metzeler Racetec SM K2 – racing tyre
The Racetec SM K2 is a supermoto racing tyre with a medium compound, harder than K1, for higher asphalt temperatures and longer race distances.

- High-silica race compound: An advanced mixing process enables quick warm-up and immediate self-cleaning. The tyre can be used without warmers.

This NHS tyre is for closed-course supermoto use on layouts combining asphalt and off-road sections; it is not approved for public roads. Its harder K2 formulation is intended to remain stable as track temperature and race duration increase. The profile gives direct feedback during braking and turn-in, while the rear compound is formulated to withstand the repeated heat generated when the motorcycle is steered with controlled slides. This makes it appropriate for mixed supermoto circuits rather than ordinary road travel.
