Mitas E-10 DAKAR – enduro tyre
The E-10 Dakar is an adventure tyre with an estimated 70% off-road and 30% road split. It combines traction on loose terrain with the stability required for connecting tarmac sections.
- Aggressive blocks: the open pattern bites into loose ground while remaining stable on the road.
- Heavy-duty construction: radial and cross-ply versions are designed for large adventure motorcycles and extended mixed-surface journeys.
- Dakar specification: the reinforced carcass increases puncture resistance and durability under demanding loads.
Depending on size and approval, examples may include BMW F 800 GS and R 1200 GS, KTM 990 Adventure and 1190 Adventure, Honda Africa Twin CRF1000L and Yamaha XT1200Z Super Ténéré.
The Dakar version uses a reinforced carcass for additional resistance to impacts and punctures during long, heavily loaded adventure journeys. On road, the block arrangement retains directional stability; away from tarmac, its open spaces help the tyre find drive in loose material.
