Metzeler Karoo 4 (M+S) (B) – dual-sport and enduro tyre
The Karoo 4 builds on the established Karoo 3 for adventure bikes and maxi-enduros. Designed to perform on tarmac and demanding trails, it has an estimated 50% road and 50% off-road use split.
- Refined tread: Its patented block layout limits running noise and promotes smooth road manners. Transverse blocks improve off-road traction without sacrificing paved-road stability.
- Trail capability: Scoop-shaped blocks generate grip on soft terrain, while their form clears soil from the tread and maintains traction through different lean angles.
- Road handling: A stiffer carcass and multi-radius profiles create accurate control and strong corner grip, even with luggage or a passenger.
- Wet confidence: The design supports riding in heavy rain and low temperatures; Metzeler internal tests showed class-leading wet braking performance.
The Karoo 4 is suited to adventure touring where asphalt, gravel and more demanding off-road sections appear on the same journey.
Special “B” specification developed for BMW F 900 GS (MG90/MG90r, 895) and F 900 GS Adventure (MG90/MG90r, 895). Other motorcycles require the correct size and approval.
