Metzeler Roadtec 02 (O) – sport-touring tyre
The Metzeler Roadtec 02 blends sports response with touring durability. Adaptive tread behaviour and a dual-compound rear construction provide grip across different riding styles and weather conditions.
- Adaptive Dynatread pattern: Under sporting loads, grooves close to enlarge the contact area and increase cornering grip. At a steadier pace, they open to improve water clearance and wet-road reassurance.
- Dual-compound rear: A durable centre supports mileage, while grippier shoulders enhance traction at lean.
- Improved wet grip: A full-silica compound provides strong wet-road adhesion and shorter warm-up in changeable conditions.
Bennetts BikeSocial (2024) highlighted the Roadtec 02’s wet grip and adaptability across different motorcycles and riding styles.
This special O variant and size was designed for BMW K 1600 B (ST16, 1649), K 1600 B Bagger (2T16, 1600), K 1600 Grand America (2T16, 1600), K 1600 GT (2T16, 1600) and K 1600 GTL (2T16, 1600); Honda VFR 1200 F (SC63, 1200); Suzuki GSX 1300 B-King and B-King ABS (WVCR, 1300); and Triumph Trophy 1215 and Trophy 1215 SE (V13VH, 1215). Other fitments require confirmation of the approved size and specification.
