Metzeler Roadtec 01 SE – sport-touring tyre
The Roadtec 01 SE builds on the established Roadtec 01 for riders of supersport, naked and adventure motorcycles who want a more sporting feel. It retains strong wet- and dry-road grip while sharpening steering and cornering stability.
- Sport-focused shoulders: From a lean angle of 25 degrees, the higher shoulder void ratio transitions towards an almost slick surface, enlarging the footprint for grip at deeper lean.
- Agile handling: Changes to the tread and compound produce more responsive steering and clearer feedback through bends.
- Wet capability: Despite its sportier emphasis, the Roadtec 01 SE maintains the wet-weather performance required for touring use.
Depending on size and motorcycle approval, examples include supersport models such as Yamaha YZF-R1, Honda CBR1000RR and Suzuki GSX-R1000; naked bikes such as Kawasaki Z900, Ducati Monster 821 and KTM 790 Duke; and adventure models such as BMW S1000XR, Triumph Tiger 900 and Yamaha Tracer 900.
