Metzeler Roadtec Scooter – scooter and moped tyre
The Metzeler Roadtec Scooter is designed for dependable performance through a wide range of temperatures and weather, both in town and beyond.
- Grip in changing conditions: A high-silica compound works with the groove and sipe layout to generate mechanical and chemical traction.
- Broad seasonal range: The silica-rich compound remains flexible across varied temperatures and road conditions.
- Agile and comfortable: A light, flexible carcass improves manoeuvrability and ride comfort, while rounded profiles create a broad, short footprint for progressive cornering and even wear.
- Wet-road control: Adapted from the Roadtec 01, the scooter-specific tread uses sipes to improve acceleration and braking traction while maximising water dispersal.
Depending on the selected tyre size and vehicle approval, examples include 50 cc scooters such as Honda Vision 50, Yamaha Aerox 50 and Piaggio Zip 50; 125 cc scooters such as Vespa Primavera 125, Honda PCX 125 and Yamaha NMAX 125; and maxi-scooters such as Suzuki Burgman 400, Yamaha XMAX 300 and Honda Forza 300.
