Bridgestone Battlax S22 (W) – hypersport tyre
The premium Battlax S22 is aimed at demanding riders who want precise feedback, stable handling and improved wet performance on the road, with the capability for occasional track-day use.
- Wet grip: New compounds with a higher silica content provide 5% more wet traction than the preceding S21.
- Dry cornering: Optimised tyre construction allows up to 15% higher cornering speed on dry tarmac, supporting a more sporting ride.
- 3LC and 5LC: The front uses two compounds arranged across 3 layers: a firmer centre supports stability and mileage, while softer shoulders enhance corner grip. The rear uses three compounds across 5 layers to respond to different riding demands.
- Mono Spiral Belt (MSB): Promotes even pressure distribution and improves high-speed stability together with the feedback transmitted to the rider.
Its composed response, high riding precision and cornering accuracy make the S22 suitable for modern supersport and naked motorcycles on winding country roads and occasional circuit sessions.
Special “W” specification developed for Yamaha MT-10 (RN78, 1000) and MT-10 SP (RN78, 1000). Other motorcycles require the correct size and approval.
