Bridgestone Battlax S22 (E) – hypersport tyre
The Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S22 is a premium sports tyre for demanding road riding and occasional track use, balancing dry performance, stability and wet-weather confidence.
- Improved wet grip: Higher-silica compounds deliver 5% more wet-road grip than the preceding S21.
- Faster cornering: The revised construction allows up to 15% higher corner speeds on dry tarmac.
- 3LC and 5LC technology: The front uses 3-Layer Compound (3LC), with a firmer centre for stability and mileage and softer shoulders for cornering grip. The rear employs 5-Layer Compound (5LC), combining three compounds for different riding demands.
- Mono Spiral Belt (MSB) for stability: MSB distributes pressure evenly, improving high-speed composure and rider feedback.
The Battlax S22 suits modern supersport and naked motorcycles used on winding roads and occasional track days, where steering accuracy and clear feedback matter.
Special “E” specification. This model and size were developed for the Yamaha YZF-R7, RM39, 689, and Yamaha YZF-R7 (35kW), RM40, 689. It may also fit other motorcycles where the size and vehicle approval match.
