Bridgestone Battlax RS12 – road-approved hypersport tyre
The RS12 is Bridgestone’s most aggressive road-approved hypersport tyre to date. Developed around the “From Circuit to Street” concept, it brings technology from endurance racing to public-road riders who demand very high asphalt grip, precise steering and reliable control under intensive loads.
- The new racing compound produces exceptionally strong dry traction under hard acceleration, late braking and deep lean. It is designed to remain consistent across repeated fast laps, making the RS12 equally relevant to energetic country-road journeys and track-day sessions.
- Motorsport-derived HE-MS Belt technology in the front tyre spreads pressure more evenly across the contact patch. The controlled footprint improves grip during braking and turn-in, while helping the motorcycle remain stable when the front tyre is heavily loaded.
- The tread has a lower negative ratio, placing more rubber in contact with the asphalt. This provides stronger grip at pronounced lean angles and gives the rider accurate, confidence-inspiring behaviour during corner entry and as power is applied towards the exit.
- 3LC, Cap&Base, RC Polymer and NanoPro-Tech support the multi-compound construction. Firmer central rubber supplies stability and wear resistance, softer shoulders maximise cornering grip, and carefully managed silica distribution maintains adhesion across differing temperatures.
- Rapid warm-up brings the tyre to a high grip level after only a short riding time. Stable front behaviour under hard braking, clear feedback and strong corner traction help the RS12 stay controlled and predictable through repeated demanding laps.
Special “L” specification developed for the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R 1000. Other motorcycles require the correct size and vehicle approval.
