Bridgestone Battlax S21 (U) – hypersport tyre
The Battlax Hypersport S21 is a premium sport tyre for supersport and naked motorcycles, combining road usability with the performance needed for occasional circuit sessions.
- Three-Layer Compound (3LC): the front uses two compounds across three zones, with a firm centre for stability, line-holding and mileage and softer shoulders for cornering grip.
- Five-Layer Compound (5LC): rear versions use three compounds across five zones to balance acceleration, wear and grip at different lean angles.
- Updated tread: revised grooves improve contact feel and water clearance for precise wet and dry handling.
- Sporting durability: the compound package is designed to extend mileage while retaining high-performance responses.
Special “U” version developed in this size for BMW F 900 R, 4R90, 900 and BMW S 1000 RR, 2R99, 1000. Depending on approval, it may also suit other motorcycles.
Compared with the preceding S20 EVO, the S21 is stated to provide 36% higher mileage through its optimised compound and tread design. The axle-specific multi-compound layouts are intended to work as a matched system, giving the front precise steering and the rear progressive drive as lean angle increases.
