Bridgestone Battlax S22 – hypersport tyre
The premium Battlax S22 is designed for demanding road riders and occasional track use, combining grip, stability and improved wet performance.
- Wet grip: Higher-silica compounds provide 5% better wet traction than the S21.
- Dry cornering: The optimised construction allows up to 15% higher cornering speed on dry surfaces.
- 3LC and 5LC technology: The front uses 3-Layer Compound technology, with a harder centre for stability and mileage and softer shoulders for cornering grip. The rear uses 5-Layer Compound technology with three compounds for different riding demands.
- Mono Spiral Belt (MSB): Even pressure distribution improves high-speed stability and rider feedback.
For modern supersport and naked motorcycles, the S22 provides precise response on winding roads and the performance needed for occasional track days. The multi-compound layout gives different areas of the tread distinct roles: durability and stability around the centre, with more grip-focused rubber towards the shoulders. Together with MSB construction, this supports a smooth transition into lean, secure drive out of bends and consistent feedback as pace increases.
