Bridgestone Battlax S22 (J) – hypersport tyre

The premium Battlax Hypersport S22 is designed for demanding riders who use modern supersport and naked motorcycles on the road and at occasional track days. It combines accurate steering feedback with stable handling and improved wet-road performance.

Wet traction: Newly developed compounds with greater silica content provide 5% more grip on wet roads than the preceding S21.
Dry cornering: The optimised tyre construction permits up to 15% higher cornering speed on dry tarmac while maintaining controllable behaviour.
3LC and 5LC: The front uses two compounds across 3 layers, with a firm centre for stability and mileage and softer shoulders for cornering grip. The rear employs 5 layers and three compounds for different lean angles and riding demands.
Mono Spiral Belt (MSB): Distributes pressure more evenly across the contact patch, improving stability at speed and communication to the rider.

The S22 delivers the precision and feedback required for winding roads while retaining the versatility needed for everyday sporting use.

Special “J” specification developed for BMW S 1000 R (2R99, 1000). It may suit other motorcycles where tyre size and vehicle approval are correct.
