Bridgestone Battlax S22 (SDR) – hypersport rear tyre
The Battlax Hypersport S22 is designed for demanding road riders who also attend occasional track days. It combines sporty handling and high-speed stability with stronger wet-road performance than its predecessor.
- Improved wet grip: Higher-silica compounds give a stated 5% increase in wet-road adhesion compared with the S21.
- Faster dry cornering: Optimised construction permits up to 15% higher cornering speed on dry surfaces in Bridgestone’s comparison.
- 3LC and 5LC technology: The front uses a firmer centre and softer shoulders across three zones. This rear tyre uses three compounds in five zones to balance stability, wear and grip at different lean angles.
- Mono Spiral Belt (MSB) for stability: Controlled pressure distribution improves high-speed composure and gives the rider clearer feedback.
The S22 suits modern supersport and naked motorcycles ridden on winding roads, with enough performance for occasional circuit sessions. Its predictable response supports accurate, confident riding.
Special “SDR” version developed in this size for the KTM 1290 Super Duke R, A, 1290; KTM 1290 Super Duke R / EVO, A, 1290; KTM 1290 Super Duke RR, B, 1290; KTM 1390 Super Duke R, 1390; and KTM 1390 Super Duke R Evo, 1390. It may also fit other motorcycles when the size and approval requirements match.
