Bridgestone Battlax V02 – racing slick for maximum circuit performance
The Battlax V02 is an uncompromising NHS slick developed from Bridgestone’s MotoGP and endurance-racing experience. It is intended for experienced track-day riders and racers seeking dry grip, stability and consistent performance through repeated fast laps. It is not approved for public-road use.
- The racing compound provides very high grip in dry conditions, especially when accelerating hard from bends. It reaches operating temperature quickly and gives the rider a direct connection with the surface after a relatively short warm-up period.
- GP-Belt construction on the rear optimises the footprint and distributes pressure more evenly. This improves stability at lean as well as control under acceleration and braking, particularly on powerful superbikes.
- The carcass is tuned for stability at high speed and clear feedback through fast corners. Its structure is also intended to remain consistent under intensive loads and wear evenly over a demanding circuit session.
- The V02 range includes Soft, Medium, Super Soft and 3LC compounds, allowing selection according to track temperature, motorcycle output and riding style. Newer 3LC versions combine centre stability with high shoulder grip at lean.
- Compared with the earlier V01, the V02 offers more grip, stronger stability and faster lap potential. It is also designed to maintain dependable performance through multiple heat cycles, balancing outright pace with useful track durability.
